Canoe EDT arrived today. Very much like Clubman, as many promised.

I have the AS splash. Very reasonably priced for the amount of juice and a glass bottle. I find Canoe and Clubman sort of just "okay". I can think of others I'd rather use, but you can't deny the classic barbershoppy feeling these two bring. I got Canoe because my barber was talking about how they used to dump the stuff in his, and all the other boys, hair at the barbershop he went to as a kid back in the late fifties and early sixties. Good old American barbershops back in the day.

I favor the old time barbershop scent. Will use Clubman AS, and Canoe EDT lightly, to complement.

There are several different boxes and bottles. I guess they have changed over the years.
For me, what does it smell like? As I've nver smelled Clubman so have no comparision.

Boy, I am struggling to come up with a comparison. Canoe and Clubman are very similar, but not identical, I don't think. Think old time barber shop, or a gathering of manly men, without the addition of tobacco or alcohol. I find it very pleasant. You can buy Canoe samplers on Amazon for very little $$, if that helps.

Saw a vintage commercial for this the other night, found out that it is pronounced "con oh ay", sounded VERY EUROPEAN!!!
HA HA I saw the same commercial Sparky. All i could do was laugh at how they pronounced it. Not to say that i do not like the scent but trying to make it sound high end.... FAIL! lol
Canoe is good stuff!
I found Brooks Brothers 1818 and Penhaligon's Racquets to be really similar to Clubman, too.

Bleh, now I need to get this to wear with my Clubman. I'll keep an eye out at wal-mart and other "cheap" places.
