Can you compare a Semogue brush to another?

I'm looking at the Semogue brushes; never really heard of them, and from the research I did on here, it seems they're great quality but kind of sparse in terms of fill density - despite their producing HD (high density) brushes?... Have any of you experienced a 'regular' Semogue and/or an 'HD?'

Yes, I have a Semogue 2015HD. Myself I do like brushes that are dense, just can't get enough there it seems. I'm glad that I bought the 2015HD. I don't think I'd want it any floppier.

This has a great balance for me. Just enough give as you lather with it, but good backbone to it as well. Very very soft feel to the tips! It can match up very well with brushes I have double, even triple its cost in terms of just a plain luxurious feel to it! Course it's not as dense as the more expensive ones though too. :wink2:

I think that the Semogue 2015HD is a great all around brush for someone to start with. I think it hits a lot of the middle ground that most people would find agreeable! Great handle shape as well! They don't get as much mentioning as Rooney, Shavemac, Kent, Simpsons and that, but they really should as this is a wonderful brush! Hope that helps a bit with some of your questions, and I'll try to help you more if I can!

Thank you! I think the best for me would be their HD line; from what I've seen, the 2015 and 730 seem great. Do you know of an online store - or even B&M that ships product- other than vintagescent.com (domestic would be ideal) that carries either / or? From what I've read, Rasage Poulin used to carry the Semogue line, but it doesn't seem to be in their system any more. I've searched on google, but with little luck. Thank you!

Dan

Sorry, none other that I know of that carry the Semogue line for the HD line. If you wanted a 730 not in HD you could buy one from shavingessentials.net but vintagescent.com is a great place to buy from as well.

Both awesome vendors. Unfortunately Leon is on a bit of an extended vacation due to a move and won't be shipping orders until the end of August 31st so that would be a bit of a wait...

Next best thing if you're okay with a used brush, and you might get lucky and find someone that has it new and wants to unload it, is to post in the WTB forum. Hope you find one soon. I really think they are great brushes, and they deserve much more praise than they get!

Thanks again! I had a fellow member offer to sell me a like new model #2015 at a great price. Unfortunately for me, I want the HD (if you are that particular member, a FS post would surely be picked up quickly at that price!)

...And the search continues!!!
