Can Sly Stallone replace Charlie Bronson??

Merry Christmas you two!

FWIW, I don't think he can replace Bronson. In fact, I'm not too fond of a remake of this classic.

Thanks Rob. Merry Christmas to you too.

Merry Christmas Ray.

I don't think that Sly can do the gritty, desperate, back against the wall rage that Charlie did in the original.

That and he's never been able to pull off that stone cold/expressionless killer look that Bronson did so well.

I agree that he can't replace Bronson but I've got to give Sly props for jumpstarting his own career. It says something when somebody who Hollywood has written off says screw you guys, I'm going to write, direct, and star in my own damn movies.

I had no idea that he was doing that. Good for him.

Noo...

Nooooooooooo...

Even with a Mandom ad, he can't do it...

NO!

Stallone makes that type of movie well. I will wait and see what its like before deciding, however I do like most of his movies. They are a simple formula that provide some brief entertainment (it is what it is, as they say). After the recent rambo and rocky movies, I think he will have picked up a new generation of fans who will go and see this at the cinema, wthout having seen the first movie (and as a result will probably like it).

Stallone has his moments, even his genre of film. But replace Bronson. No.
