Calani EisEngel (Ice Angel) shaving soap

This is a very, very nice artisan soap made in Germany and I received it on Friday. Today I put it to the test and I'll say that I was quite pleased with it. The scent is fresh and nice, it lathers very easily and richly, and the lather remains really stable so you can do a 3 pass shave if you want with no problem. I did notice one thing which I found quite disappointing - the cooling sensation is next to nonexistant because it's very subdued. Still, I can forgive that because it's a very good soap. I don't know the price because I traded with somebody on another forum. Would I buy this stuff again? Yes, I think so.

I like Calani soaps quite a lot, they are definitely among my favorites. I use the Oriental Plum and the Classic Havana regularly.

I avoided the EisEngel scent for the reason you mentioned, the menthol is more for scent than cooling.

I have many of the different Calani soaps, and enjoy all of the ones I have. I've not tried this particular one however. Calani soaps are in my top five for sure. Great soaps.

Calani are some of the vest soaps I have every used...but I have not used this particular one yet

I don't like the Eisengel soap. The scent is to female for me.

My favorite Calani scents are:

- Gentleman
- Dubai
- Earl Grey w/ Schafsmilch
- Classic Havana
- Malabar

I'd like to try Cadre Noir and the "Simply Soap" one. Oriental Plum doesn't seem to interest me by the description, but everyone seems to rave about it.... maybe I should put that one on my list too. This Eisengel scent doesn't seem to interest me either.

Calani scents are very well done and unique IMO.

Unfortunately I heard that Calani discontinues the Bay Rum series. Soap and ASB. A supplier can deliver some ingredients no more.

The Simply Soap has an incredible scent! Like freshly washed laundry! Not like Arko, no no. Very gentle scent.

I ordered from the website. Chrome browser auto translates everything making it nice and easy to place an order. You can always send her an email, she speaks English as well.
