Burham 1909

proxy.php

I was doing some research on some of my razors and found a site selling a Burham 1909 in VG/EX condition for $295 dollars. Is this another case of a dealer slapping on a price because they don't know the value or is this really worth this much?

I have one of these razors and was just wondering if I had a gem (not the razor) and didn't know it.

P.S. This is not mine or the one for sale, just threw it up there so you knew which razor I was talking about.

I have a Burham which appears to be new or like new. It is in an original box but not the tin box shown in your picture. It came in a red-orange pasteboard box. It has an instruction sheet included. I paid $15.95 shipped.

I have no way of dating my specific razor but the instructons mention the same 3 for $.10 price for extra blades that is shown on the tin box in your picture. The patent date on the razor is 1909, which is likely where the seller you are referring to got the 1909 date . . . Where he got his pricing is anybody's guess. :001_rolle

Tom
