Bump eraser product? What to do with infected ingrown

I did a search, but did not find reviews on this product. It's a spray and is about $15 and claims to erase razor bumps/ingrowns. Has anyone tried this product?

I had a really bad ingrown which I was unsuccessful in extracting and the area is very red and infected. I sprayed this product on there and it burned severly as its main ingredient is alcohol along with witch hazel. I don't think it helped and perhaps I should have used this earlier. Anyone else try this?

At this point, what is the best cure? I put hydrogen pyroxide, tea tree oil and polysporin on it to try to speed recovery.

Hmm...it appears that Bump Eraser contains alcohol and witch hazel as you said, but also some botanical extracts. That's all well and good, but it my opinion, this is a concoction made for preventing ingrown hairs, not healing ingrown hairs.

You are on the right track with using OTC methods to heal the ingrown, but you only have to use one (H2O2 alone is sufficient). Product wise, If you want to get rid of the ingrowns you already have, you need to look for a product with either salicylic, glycolic, or phytic acid (or a combination of the acids). The reason for this is that you want a product to lightly exfoliate the skin, allowing for the hair to be released and grow correctly out of the follicle and above the hairline. Such products that will perform this way include Barc Bump Down, Anthony Logistics Ingrown Hair Treatment, and Baxter of California Razor Bump repair. These are all in the 20-30 dollar range and are pretty reasonable, given that a little goes a long way.

Bump eraser would be a decent ingrown hair prevention product because it contains extracts that would soothe the skin after shaving. I don't think this product is worth it, however, as simple witch hazel acts as both an astringent and anti-septic after shaving.

See if there is a hair still in the bump-if it is, either let it grow out(stop shaving that area) or tweeze it out. Afterwards hit it up w/ some teat tree oil 2x a day until it disappears.

I actually use this product and it works actually quite good especially when I used to have to wear a suit and Tie for work. When I would shave and put on my tie with in a couple of hours my neck was riddled with bumps, this stuff literally got rid of them with in hours and every time I shaved my head, the back of my head and neck was covered in ingrown hairs but this stuff keeps them at bay, when I forget to spray it on after I shave my head with in 4 or 5 hours I start getting a lot of bumps, so when I come home from work I spray in on and usually by the time I'm ready for bed the bumps have already stopped hurting and by the next moring they are usually gone.

And if you have ingrown hairs is it not wort 15 bucks to take the risk, if it dosen't work you loose 15 bucks, but if it works you will be so happy you tried.

I have tried it a couple of times, but for me it didn't made any significant difference to heal red bumps.

It does burn when spraying it since it contains alcohol.

I have also Baxter of California's Razor Bump Repair and it is more efficient against red bumps, although again the results weren't spectacular.

There are a lot of good comments about Anthony Logistics Ingrown Hair Treatment. I've got a sample of that, haven't tried it yet and might not to since my shaving technique is improving and I have almost no more ingrowns left now
