Does anyone have experience buffing with a SE GEM (I'm sure someone here does)? I did today and the shave was smooth and comfortable, but if anyone has some pointers, I'm listening.

I've just started trying to blade buff, but I have found so far that it works pretty similarly - minimal pressure and tiny repeated strokes. I try to watch my angle and keep the head as close to my face as possible for a really shallow angle (cuts just as well with less irritation).
I buff under the chin on my neck...I have had good success; and, also use a mild j-hook. So far, good results.
I find buffing is easier with the SEs with a large comb - 1912, 1914 and 1924
Yep, just don't lift on the backstroke so you lay down some soap on each buff and you'll do fine. Shift the direction of attack around a bit with little quick light strokes to get those whorley areas.
With my Streamline i buff most of the times as needed. I wouldnt do this with other razors without using extreme caution.

Thanks everyone. I've been buffing with the GEM and getting great results. My face responds much better to an SE than a DE for some reason.
