bubbles in the plating on the top of a tech

What is it, causes is, will it hurt the shave, doubt there is a way to fix it? I now have a couple razors that have this, one all the way across the top of the head and another with just a couple bubbles on it. Thanks in Advance!

I would lke to hear what others think too. I have a Tech with these and I attributed it to my over zealous cleaning.

From what my plater has told me it's from air bubbles being allowed to form on the surface during the plating process.

I'd say pretty much a plating flaw. As far as its effect on your shave, run the razor over your face without a blade. Do you feel the roughness? If not, I doubt it will affect your shave.

+1
Many of the later Tech heads (especially those that are beveled) are made of Zamac or a Zinc/Aluminum alloy. It's very difficult to properly plate this material and the bubbling is probably the zinc corroding underneath the plating.
