Brushes for women leg shavers

My wife loves my B&B omega brushes although she does bowl lather, I prefer large badger knots myself but my wife would rather use the omega than a $200 badger, go figure. If I were you I would look for a large knot with low loft since you will be lathering on the leg and have allot of real-estate to cover. An SOC boar may be the ticket but will take a while to break in.

Got my girlfriend a cheap omega boar, but she hasn't used it yet so I can't tell you how she likes it. You looking for something soft and luxurious or exfoliating and firm?

I leg shave with the 13061M Vie-Long natural horse hair and have found it works really nicely. Great with creams, has the backbone to use soaps, and enough 'scritch' to 'softness' ratio to feel nice on the skin or cause some exfoliating action if I want. I orginally started with a Vulfix super badger (not sure on the details, but much smaller than my horse hair) and since being able to compare the two I've found leg shaving with a much larger loft and knot to be my preference. though of course YMMV.

also a thing to consider IMO is the shape and size of the handle itself. I found the Vulfix very awkward and hard to hold in my hand. so if you have the option to let her hold and handle some different shaped handles that will go a long way in getting a brush she will enjoy and want to use. what feels right in your hand may not feel right in hers.

Bought my girlfriend this.. She absolutely loves it.

When I saw the title of this thread the Muhle synthetic brushes came to my mind as well. I recently picked one up and it is the softest brush I have ever felt. I have really hard water and have to work hard to get a good lather but this brush makes lathering simple even with my hard water. It feels bigger than the 21mm advertised size due to the higher loft, I think they have some that are bigger if you prefer but I think 21mm would work well. I ordered mine from here: http://www.connaughtshaving.com/mstfsb.html

Legs are bigger than faces. There are two of them, too. So I figure the best brush would be one that holds a lot of product and a lot of water. I am thinking a 28mm or 30mm badger, but preferably not a silvertip unless it has a lot of backbone. Larry sometimes has big badgers, for cheap, and the Liojuny or Lijun or whatever brushes from China are pretty cheap. Cheaper than the similar but well regarded Frank Shaving brushes, also Chinese. All of these brushes should be well within your budget, with enough left over for some Godrej or KMF cream. The Godrej red I bet would work nicely.

Whipeddog 30mm silvertip.
It is huge, too big for face lathering. I included in the rig put together for my wife. She loves it.

I got my wife a 30mm brush handle from TGN and had them set a knot in it. I think it cost me about $40 shipped and it worked great for her.
