Brush issue - How much shedding is ok early on?

The day before christmas I received a Parker best badger brush : http://www.amazon.com/Parker-Safety...1357320799&sr=8-2&keywords=best+badger+parker

In the times since I've had it I've shaved with it almost every day. For the first few days it shed about a dozen hairs per day. It tapered off to two or three hairs per shave within a week, and yesterday I gave it a rest to use my new omega boar. Today when I used it it shed a minimum of 30-40 hairs. I had tons of hairs in my shave cream, in my mug, in my sink, and on my face. This is getting really frustrating and I'm wondering when I should call it quits and return this thing. I like the feel of the brush, but its getting to the level of being unacceptable to me. I use the brush exactly as this site recommends and hang it to dry every day.

Could anyone offer any advice on how much longer if at all I should keep trying this brush?

Thanks

I got moves like Jagger
Gently shampoo it (but you can probably skip this as you've used it a bunch already) and use a hair brush to (once again) gently brush the knot from base to tip. This should assist in getting rid of any loose hairs which were not long enough to get glued into the base of the knot. Take a pic for us as well (of course!). Pop all the hairs this puppy sheds into a pill bottle so you can take a pic to show that you're not exagerating in the event you go to return it.

You can read about my experience with shedding here.

Since you have had this brush for a few weeks the shedding should have gone down if not eliminated by now. Here is what I would do. First, be sure you have removed all the lather from the brush after you shave by running it under water and gently squeezing the bristles. When the water shows no soap shake it once or twice (gently) and dry it by rubbing gently it across a towel. Then take a comb and comb the bristles to remove any lose hairs. Do this two or three more times after each time you use the brush. If it continues to loose hairs and brush is defective and should be returned.

You may also want to notify the vendor about the issue you are having to preserve your rights.

Good luck.

I also bought this brush and had the same problem with it. Amazon has a very good return policy, especially if you have prime (they pay for the return shipping). I just sent it back a few days ago.

I would return it and buy something else.
