What's new

Brownie?!?

I think I have an old style gillette. I think it's called a brownie?!? There's no code on it so I'm strictly going by photos on that razor site. Of course the razor is the same but the only thing that sets it apart is the case according to the photos. My case is a bit old and you can't see any markings. I'll send photos later tonight.

The nickel plated Brownie was just one of several sets that had the ball end Old Type with the post-1921 #104-A heads. Other sets included the Pioneer, the College, the Copley, the Old Type, and the Shawmut. There were also Gold and Silver plated Brownie sets.

There are no markings on either the outside or inside of the case any more. It's been rusted off. I can tell there are extreemly faint markings on the instide lid but not enough to even tell which letter of the alphabet it is.

It probably said Old Type, but several of the sets said that. The shape and color of the exterior and interior would be more important to identification than inside text.
