Brigham pipes?

Does anyone have experience with these pipes? Some of the apple or billiard shape pipes seem to have thin tobacco chamber walls. So do these things smoke hot?

With a thin wall it will be hot to the touch if you tend to smoke the pipe hot. Lots of puffing and whatnot.

I have no experience with Brigham pipes to say how they smoke though.

I have about a dozen of them...

They are a good pipe and have the only type of filter I will use.

Here is the thing though... The older Brighams were Canadian made, but for the last few years they have been made by Lorenzetti but carry the Brigham name. Lorenzetti makes a hell of a good pipe, (I have a number of those as well), but it is not like the Brigham of days gone by. Once Brigham changed the strummel from metal to plastic, the quality deteriorated a bit in my opinion. If you can find an older one, (from the early 1980's or before) you will be super impressed and it will probably become one of your favorite pipes. The ones that are in stores now are still good, don't get me wrong, but they are mostly 'just another pipe'. Don't worry about how many 'dots' are on them, it is a matter of how pretty the pipe is, not a difference in smoking quality

That's my take on it anyway.
