What's new

Box 'o Simpsons on the front step today

Love that when you come home and there's the wee cardboard box on the front step!

I ordered some Simpsons from a B&B vendor in the UK, 7 days from purchase to arrival from the UK to Canada. The items ordered were:

An Emperor 1, Beaufort 1 and Keyhole 2. I think the Simpson's size 1 is a bit on the small side for me, but either the Emperor or Beaufort in that size will make excellent travel brushes. The Keyhole size 2 has to be one of the most comfortable brushes in the hand that I've come across. The Emperor is in super, the Keyhole in best and the Beaufort in pure badger. The Emperor is nice and dense, and all of the brushes have the pleasant level of quality I have come to appreciate in a Simpson's brush.

And, Badger and Hone includes a nice, white facecloth with their livery emblazoned upon as a freebie.

Congratulations on the new arrivals! Your initial post about this inspired me to order a couple of brushes as well and with luck mine will be here for the weekend too.
I love the look of your Simpson's brothers.

Glad to hear it. The Simpson's brushes I have acquired to date have all been very solid performers, so I look forward to putting the new ones to work. Great to use on soap or creams I have found, and while it seems silly, I love the Simpson's label. It evokes a turn of the (past) century in its design, and so far none of mine have come off yet.

Great also to see a member of the forum from Switzerland, I have spent much time there, and love Zurich.

Let us know what you end up getting in brushes,

Best,

Chris

I am very much looking forward to the arrival of my Duke and Case brushes. They will fit solidly in the gap between my Wee Scot and the new B+B Eagle which I am anxiously awaiting! Zürich is a great town and I have really enjoyed living here for the past 16 years. I am Australian and it is still nice to head back there occasionally to catch up.....

cheers,

I look forward to hearing how you like the Case. Next on my to-buy list.

Not wanting to derail the post, but I am wondering how an Aussie ends up in Zurich for so many years......I know, you're the night manager at one of those cryptic Swiss banks like in the Da Vinci Code.........is that you in the picture below?

I'm with huntmol and beginish. While I have many different brushes from many makers and enjoy what they all bring, I'd have to say the Simpson brushes I like best.

Great quality, diverse selection of brushes to choose from to meet your tastes, and great prices as well! I especially enjoy the less common ones. I wouldn't mind having one from all the brushes Simpson makes, but that really should be something long term.

Hehehe.......... I came here to work in the financial markets and stayed because I really enjoy the place. Still doing the same job!

Nice representation of Simpsons brushes.

I've never owned an Emperor but I have had both the key hole 2 and the Beaufort (B4).

You will enjoy those brushes!!!
