Bowl for Provence Sante Green Tea Soap?

Hi guys,
After trying a free sample of this soap that John at Shaving Essentials sent me with a previous order, I was so impressed that I ordered a couple pucks which just arrived yesterday. This is the only veggie based soap I've tried that gives me a tallow-like lather and slickness. However, it seems to have an unconventional shape compared to other soaps. It is smaller in diameter and taller in height than most soaps and I can't find a bowl that fits it while still being able to close the lid. Any suggestions from PSGT users would be appreciated. I know they make a bowl for the Verlain soap but I'm not interested in that bowl. Thanks in advance for your suggestions. I don't want to mill it as I would like to keep it in one piece.

If you want something fancier, I use an Em's place palm bowl for mine.

No lid, but fits very well. Ems also has closed containers for travel, and one container that looks like it would work for soaps like CADE.

I put mine in a little stainless steel bowl with lid that came with a set of SS bowls. It works ok, but it's not a very good solution because the puck can move around when loading. My frustration is with the new pucks having a raised center. So, when you put hot water on the top to soften it for your brush, it just runs off. Eventually, after use, it gets flattened out, but I don't think it's very well thought out. It's still my favorite soap though. I bought the Honeybee Soaps shea butter pucks and they can be reheated to fit into the base of the container, which is very convenient.

If this is a glycerin soap couldn't you just melt it in the microwave a few seconds and pour into whatever container you want? Also, milling is an option... *shrugs*

Turn it over so the raised part is on the bottom.

Yea, tried that...and the puck just moves all around like a marble. I think the milling it is probably the best step. Now it's a matter of finding a suitable bowl for such an outstanding soap.:001_tt1:

Nope, this is a milled soap. Microwaving would ruin it and make a huge mess!

Yup, I just used the large holes in a manual cheese grater and it easily sliced up and pushed down into its new bowl. I had a nice little wooden bowl that I had milled a TOBS shave stick into, and wasn't using it, so now the shave stick is in a SS bowl. Much better.

How about this:
