Blue Fossil

Check this out, just turned this morning. It's not really a fossil, but it looks like one.

Very happy with how it turned out.

That's a Pine Cone embedded in the acrylic. It creates a great effect.

The blue acrylic is very nice even by itself.

I have a 24mm finest fan sitting in it and it is protected with about 12 coats of CA Glue.

The first finish was a disaster, all lumpy, so I had to sand it all back down and do it again with a thinner glue. I was sanding on this thing for hours. Glad it's finally done, and happy with the result.

That thing is just crazy. It's strange & cool on so many levels. Did you do the acrylic? I see no air bubbles. Wow... that's neat & your work is excellent. Handle shape looks really comfortable too.
