Here's a couple of pictures of my latest 2 brushes in the before/after bloom.
Green with a TGN fan knot - not a huge difference, but some improvement. This is the brush from the poll. Lots of backbone, very dense and works well as an all around brush.
Here is a butterscotch with a 20mm TGN silvertip knot. I really like how soft the knot is. It is very luxurious, and doesn't have nearly as much backbone as the finest knots. Very nice for bowl lathering soft soaps and creams and does ok face lathering if you don't need the brush to exfoliate. It bloomed out nicely.
I have had to relearn how to make lather after using these brushes. The brushes themselves hold a lot more lather than my omega, and don't release it as easily and I find myself needing to use more soap than I do even with my big omega pro 49. I now understand the longer loading times that a lot of the lathering instructions call for. I can load the omega very quickly, and it seems more efficient in that aspect. The badgers just take more soap, whether in a bowl or face lathering. Is that consistant with what everyone here has experienced?
