Blades for vintage gillettes

Hello gents,
This is indeed a stupid question How ever I have no option but to expose my ignorance.

So can anyone tell me whether is it possible to use the slandered DE blades on Vintage Gillettes like Old type, single ring and Double ring razors without any modifications to the blade and the razor?

I prefer to use blades that people speak well of, personally.

But yes, any modern blade should work just fine in any generation of Gillette DE razor. The Gillette NEW blade and the Probak blades, whose designs the "modern" blade quickly evolved out of, were made specifically to be backwards compatible with all of the existing Gillette razors that people were already using. The basic shape of the blade has stayed unchanged since the mid-'30s.

I'll go ahead and say "yes" right along with everyone else.

There were some DE razors made by small companies that used proprietary blades but the Gillette razors all should use a modern blade just fine
