Will DE blades be affected by dipping the razor and blade into alcohol before each shave?

Usually what happens is that they weave all over your face, so I let them sober up first
there should be no effect on the blade or the razor, just a quick way to sterilize it
The point of the alcohol dip is to displace any remaining water, leaving the blade bone-dry on the theory that a wet edge will degrade faster than a dry one.
Since most of us toss blades long before whatever slight degrading takes place, it's more of an OCD thing.
