Blade & Razor Combos That Work and Don't Work

Does anybody have a razor that seems to work with only one or two blade models? And other razors where that same blade gives a miserable shave. For example:

Fatip = British Wilkinson Sword & Israeli IP are ideal; Feather is brutally harsh.
Lord L6 = Loves Feathers; OK with Astra SP. Israeli IP, Crystals too harsh. British Wilkinson not aggressive enough.
Schick Krona = Astra SP seems to be all that it likes.
Aristocrat = Astra SP, Israeli IP ideal. Feather too harsh. Brit & German Wilkis too dull seeming.
Super Speed = Israeli IPs were built for this. Astras very nice. Feathers good if careful. Both Wilkis seem dullish.

I've discovered that some combos are almost magical.

ATT (H2 head): Gillette Silver Blue is BBS all the way

Schick Krona + Rapira Platinum Lux is great for me
Feather Popular plus Feather blade is a great combo too
Superspeed plus Israel Personna is a good match too for me

DE89 & Feather/Polsilver
Old Type & Personna Red
Red Tip & GSB
Slim(7) & Personna Lab Blue

Those all work well for me.

My IP Reds work with anything, but my best shave comes from my HD Rocket.

My IP Reds work with anything, but my best shave comes from my HD Rocket.

My Superspeed and Rocket HD500 worked best with IP Reds as well. But they never really felt comfortable to me, whatever blade I used.

The IPs do not work in the Feather Popular for me, that razor was designed for very sharp blades.

This worked for me today; that razor is super mild. Even with the Feather blade, it would be hard to get nicked.

EDIT: with a lesser blade, it might be hard to get shaved ...

I have been using my 23C with a Feather blade and getting great results. But the Feather is a bit agressive in the 25C (open comb). In the 25C, usually go with the Gilette Super Blues.
