Blade Assessment Discrepancies

I've been looking through the reviews for DE blades and various other blade discussions and am struck by the big discrepancies between various reviewers assessments of the same blade. Why is this?
I'm guessing skin type and sensitivity, shaving technique, beard density and coarseness, razor used and variability of blade quality but I'm getting the impression that the only real way to select the right blade is to try it for yourself :001_rolle

That's why we all say - YMMV - here. :wink2:

You pretty much answered your own question already. There are so many factors that play into whether a blade will work for someone and you've got most of them listed already. Since the variables are so many, the only way to know for sure is to try yourself. More than anything else in wet shaving, blades are a YMMV thing.
