Best reaction from the Ladies?

I thought I would start a tread here asking what fragrances do you find get the best reactions from the ladies.

And for fun, what is the best reaction you have gotten from the ladies?

Have fun!

  • Christian Dior Bois D'Argent
  • Creed Green Irish Tweed
  • Comme des Garcons Avignon
  • Czech & Speake No.88

As far as reaction, basically just a "You smell sooo nice" comment.

Polo (original "green"), hands down gets the most compliments from women of all ages.

These also draw the occasional compliment:
Old Spice
Kouros
Penhaligon's Castile
Thierry Mugler Cologne

It just depends on the quantity of application.

L'Occitane Vetyver
Floris 89
Creed Vetiver

Gets the ladies head to turn but my wife doesn't care for their reaction too much:lol:

I use L'eau de la remorque des ordures to keep the ladies away . . . just get chased by the occasional slattern or female bill collector.

I would say it's a matter of preference (on both sides)

On a side note, if there is such a thing it would have been discovered a long time ago :001_smile

I don't know your age, but if you're looking for something younger women mostly like, it's easy. You buy one of the vastly popular designer scents:

L'Eau de Issey by Issey Miyake
Aqua di Gio by Armani
Code by Armani
Le Male by Jean Paul Gaultier

These are all among the best selling fragrances for men. Women like them because they know them. Their last boyfriend wore one of them and their next boyfriend probably will too. But you always run the risk that the guy they knew that wore L'Eau de Issey was a punk, etc.

Speaking for myself, there is no universal "women dig this" fragrance.

What's more important imo is that you find something you like that makes you confident. That's sexy. The cologne is incidental. There is no magic in any bottle. At age 18, I bought a bottle of "pheremone" laced cologne from an ad in some semi tawdry men's magazine. It smelled awful and it was not "seduction in bottle." That doesn't exist.

But if you're curious, below is a link to a thread in Basenotes which asks that basic question. It is a stickied thread with over 2,000 replies. The irony of it is that it probably references about 200 different frags. Someone with more time on their hands than me did a tally once. Creeds GIT and Millesime Imperiale were the two top mentioned scents. Doesn't mean anything. Have fun.

You can and should read through responses here and check the link above.
It can give some directions to look for sure.

(I see there are 16 other responses here with like 20+ different scents mentioned. Old Spice is winning with 3, Issey is second with 2).
