Best Brush under $50

Right now I'm using a crappy synthetic Wilkinson Sword brush and I'd like to upgrade on up to a real badger hair brush. This is just horrible against my skin.

Does anyone have any reccomendations for a nice brush under $50?

I've used over 15 badger brushes and those TGN finest knots are very good. For $35 it really cannot be beat.

I picked up a Badger for under $15 at Nordstrom's Rack in Costa Mesa. Been using it for almost 6months now, I like it.

There are also a lot of boar options for under $50. My other brush is the Semogue 830. I highly recommend that one, too.

Great small brush with either soaps or creams (but especially for face-lathering soaps). Simpson's best badger is great hair, too.

You've been given some great recommendations. Whatever you end up choosing will doubtfully be your "last brush".

I'd get the Simpson on your budget....

If Penworks summer sale is still going on (and I'm pretty sure it is), I'd highly recommend getting a great custom brush from Tony:

He does his own knots, there's a big thread of others who have used his knots in their own handles in the Vendor Corner you can check out. I personally picked up a 20mm ST1, which is a little stiffer than the FST / ST2 lines. Really pleased, it's a great brush
