best all around brush for about 50$

ok so i want a brush thats soft. but still works really good with soaps. as well as creams dont want to spend much more than 50$ or so. so what does everyone think

I would say get some old handle, or if you don't have one buy it and put in one knot from The Golden Nib. I have TGN 22mm Finest with extra stuff and I love it, great for soaps and creams, face-lathering and bowl-lathering.
I also have Ronney Super Silvertip 3/1 and can say that Golden Nib Finest isn't in any sight inferior to Rooney.

But as always YMMV:001_rolle

A good tip I got when starting out was go to a Crabtree and Evelyn store. They have two good quality brushes in the $30-50 range. Kind of a sleeper, as you don't normally think of them as associated with shaving.

I think the New Forest 2201 is very soft.

I also have a Muhle Silvertip, which is very soft.

A bit more adventurous is the TGN silvertip.
Make your own handle, or buy and old one to restore.
Nice to do, feels great to create your own.

I would get the best rooney I could afford. I think there is more value there than any other brush. Good luck.
