Hello gents,
On a whim, I picked up a bottle of Bernheim Wheat as a change of pace from my traditional drink of choice, bourbon (I understand that bourbon is a whiskey).
The idea of wheat whiskey was very strange to me, but that is not always a bad thing.
It is an interesting drink to be sure. The nose was not overpowering, I picked up a sweet smell right of the bat. I had a glass with a bit of ice, and thought it was extremely smooth sipping. It is sweeter then I typically like, but not overpowering. Clean finish, no aftertaste burn. Not sure I would always keep it on hand, but not bad.
So, other then drink it straight, can anyone think of something else to use it in from a cocktail standpoint?
Cheers all,
Slugg
