Benefits/scent of Speick AS

Good morning all,

Can someone tell me the benefits of Speick AS and your thoughts on the scent? Thanks. Have a good weekend.

Regards,
Michael

The number one benefit of using speick is the skin healing. The ingredient list contains a number of beneficial skin goodies which is rare in an aftershave. The other favorable aspect of speick besides a moderate price and presentation, is the scent. I'd say it is a citrus woodsy some say spikenard. Not overpowering. The scent is a bit rugged and makes me think of a hiker in the alps. Overall a nice fresh clean scent. :thumbup1:

I just received a bottle of Speick as my first high end aftershave splash. I have to say, my skin feels great after using it. The scent is familiar, but I can't quite place it. It is spicy, but light and will dissipate very quickly, giving you some small whiffs for about an hour or so. I like it so much that I use it even when I don't shave because I like the way it makes my skin feel. You probably won't be disappointed.

It's hard to go wrong with Speick.
I think the scent has been described well above.
Very manly, without being owerpowering in any way.
And it disappears rather quickly, just like any other AS.

The main thing is in it's soothing & healing properties.
It makes your skin feels great!
It has a lot of good things in it & you really can tell by the feeling & look of your face after a shave that they do work.
The soap is equally good IMO.

Great excuse to open my bottle and sniff. I'd say it smells more "modern" than the classic barbershop scents. Hint of citrus?.....alpine herbs?....."clean" scent, not spicy or musky. It's a big favorite on the board....can't say I have heard a poster say they hated it, unlike some others ***cough***clubman***cough Seriously, if you buy some, and for some unkown reason, you don't like it, it will be an easy resale.

I am a real Speik AS lover, and am enjoying this thread. I am wondering about the Speik plant grown and harvested in government protected areas of the alps. Does the plant contribute only the scent to the product? Or does it also contribute to some of the therapeutic, healing properties of the lotion?

As a recent Speik user, I am a fan. Great stuff, healing qualities, with a very pleasant, herbal-natural smell.

Excellent product.

It has a feint citrus smells and it performs okay, but at 12.65 Euros compared to AV at 4.65 - AV is better value.

Yeah, I wish this stuff were a little cheaper, but all in all I think it really is worth the extra cost in this case. There is no comparison in the scents for me, Speick is masculinity manifest, while AV seems cheap and dated (cut totally a YMMV thing). There is also no competition in the healing category-- it's Speick by a mile (kilometer?) Speick should be in everybody's cabinet if only for emergency bad-shave situations.

and had a hard time identifying the fragrance.

I think there are citrus along with what I think is a tobacconist smell.

Not the smoke, but the 1st smell I got when I walked in the store.

Very pleasant to me, one of my favorites for sure.
