From southern Michigan. As we have a glass of wine out back.
Lilac ?
The ones up front look like they could be lilac. The ones in back look like a fruit blossom of some kind. Could be a flowering pear or crab apple.
My first thought on the front flowers is Redbud...

Magnolias and redbud.

I believe redbud is correct, not sure on the other one. How sure are you on the Magnolia? When the leaves come we should be certain.
Not sure at all on the magnolia. Just a guess. Pretty tree though.
That first is a Redbud, no doubt. The second is a crabapple. We are about the same latitude and they are blooming over here. Lilacs will not be blooming for a time yet.
Redbud is some nice heating wood.

Thanks, yes, the wife and I agree with your assessment.
The redbuds only have their bloom for a few weeks, but they sure look pretty during that time. We have one on our front lawn and it’s a beautiful tree. I agree that the tree in the second picture could be a flowering crabapple.
