Help Identify Signature next to KCG's Signature

Does anyone know who would have been signing legal documents with KCG in the early days, and can you identify the signature attached here with KCG's?

I'm pretty sure it's Edwin B. Root. Not sure what his role was, but some Googling reveals that he and K.C. Gillette were trustees on a family trust, in which there was some minor (very minor, based on my reading) legal drama. The matter I found was from 1932, for reference. Gillette v. After reading the court cases, I looked through one of the boxes we have and found several of the trust agreements and court filing documents, and you are correct, Edwin B. Root is one of the Trustees along with KCG. I found Edwin's resignation from being trustee as well. What a fascinating coincidence that you would point me to those cases and that I would find these documents relating to them! Attached is the picture I just took of Edwin's resignation.
