Bay Rum Shave Soap?

I am really enjoying the Bay Rum scent right now... I am in the market to purchase some more soap and wanted to get some input on your favorite Bay Rum soap. I have currently tried Col Conks and Barrister and Mann. Which other Bay Rum scented soaps are out there that I should try? Thanks, in advance.

Thanks for the recommendations. Looks like we are neighbors, what area of Houston are you in? Can you recommend any local stores to purchase wet shaving items?

I'm in pearland.. Pickins r slim here.. There's reserve supply that sells only Portland shaving product... There also a store in rice village that sells all English or Irish stuff so they have tobs, Mwf, Crabtree and Evelyn

Nice, I am also in Pearland. I may have to check out the store Rice Village one day.

Ogallala Bay Rum is my favorite for scent. Straight Razor Design and Mike's Bay Rum soaps are also good performers.

HOUS3Y - what type of bay rum are you using right now? Because the bay rum scent profile can vary quite a bit, from very clovey to very "rummy". I like Mike's Bay Rum, and to my nose, it is more "rummy" (think something like Malibu Rum) than "clovey" (i.e. "spicy"). Ogallala Bay has all sorts of different types of bay rum.

One cheap route and a scent that seems to have stood the test of time is Col. Conk's bay rum soaps. It seems that all of Col. Conk's soaps are offered at vendors mainly because they want to stock the bay rum. Personally, I've never tried it but its pretty cheap. And of course you can always get samples of Mike's, Barrister & Mann's, Stirling, etc.

I currently have some Col. Conk, I like it, but the scent is kind of weak. I had a sample of B&M and liked it a lot, it was a spicier scent than Col conk as well.

I cannot recommend Fitjar$ Lighthouse/Bay Rum highly enough. Get a $econd mortgage on the hou$e and try a few cake$.

Dag.... it'$ nice except for that one thing. Light on the bay rum and heavy on lather.

I love Bay rum, but have never really found a BR soap I can recommend. Ogallala smells good, but is just the standard melt and pour glycerin soap, and just OK performance wise. Ditto for Mama Bears. I have a sample of Mike's, which smells great, and his soaps are great performers, but I've never actually used the bay rum. Petal Pusher Fancies used to have one (don't think they do anymore), and it was a great performer, but the scent irritated my skin.

Long story short- I don't bother with BR soaps anymore. I've gotten the sense that there is a fair likelihood they will bum out my skin (I've seen a fair number of posts from people having issues with various clove-y soaps), and I get plenty of BR in my aftershaves.

I have a puck of Pyrate's Cove Bay Rum soap. A simple, glycerin soap - nothing more - nothing less. I have gotten excellent performance from it and the scent is quite pronounced. A stellar bargain at ~ $5 including shipping.

Just got my mikes bay rum puck... I u like captains choice bay rum then mikes smells exactly like that and lathers easily!
