It's been a while but I recall Basil Hayden's being fairly spicy?
I always keep a bottle on hand to introduce people to Bourbon. It is not very complex and is as low an alcohol content as you can have and still call it Bourbon (based on US laws). I rarely drink it except when I am introducing someone to it. It's a decent Bourbon, but I personally feel that there are a lot better Bourbons out there for the price.
