It's not a "lathering" cream. I haven't tried it myself, but it sounds a lot like Cremo Cream. Not for me, lathering is at least half the fun of traditional wetshaving (even if it can be a bit frustrating at times).
Carl, it smells nothing like the canned Barbasol shave cream, sort of a medicinal soapy scent. I bought a tube for travel some time ago, it shaved very well for a brushless but I tossed it due to the scent which did not agree with me.
