I have the 3 band and love it. Can you tell us a little about the difference you find between the two? Maybe relative to Simpsons brushes? Which do you prefer for face/bowl lathering etc..?

I prefer the 3-band Thaters over the 2-band. I sold both of my 2-bands.

How do you like the 3 band vs the 2 band? I went with the 3 band 49125/2 because I could not resist the plexi handle. I love it, but it is huge with it's bulb shape. Could have easily been happy with a 0, but it is pretty sweet engulfing your face with the cloud of softness.

... both of these brushes are new ... the 2 band may still be breaking-in .
but as of now while I enjoy the invigorating facial massage given by the firmer 2 band my sensitive skin prefers the softer sensual touch of the 3 band .
I could see doing a first pass lathering with the 2 band when I have several days growth and using the 3 band for the following pass(es) .
Or using the 2 band on occasion just for a change up .

But this morning I preferred the 3 band .
I found that either one can be used for face or bowl , soap or cream , with my nod going to the 2 band for soaps and the 3 band for creams .
And as I currently prefer creams another reason for favoring the 3 band .
Thanks to the forum for bringing these brushes to my attention ; I look forward to using them and posting further pictures and comments .

... this mornings shave was with the great for my sensitive skin TOBS Avocado .
the 2 band continues to break in , the tips were very soft and the backbone firm .
I still prefer the incredible softness of the 3 band but the 2 band 3 band mix is an enjoyable and effective 1,2 combo to the face .
Thater gonna knock you out !

... this morning its the 2 band with the newly arrived Martin De Candre scented in glass pot .
this brush continues to break in with each shave and now there is no skin sensitivity issue .
but on this morning with this soap , on the second pass , it's a $10 boar I prefer , "the beautiful beachwood" , the Omega 10005 !

...so as you can see from the photo my 4125/0 2 band is breaking-in nicely ; and I now love it for it's all around great performance .
I also love the 3 band for it's chubby inducing incredible softness .
The 2 band is also soft , but not as , and the quality is different .
I don't think I have a preference at the moment and I'm glad I don't have to choose .
Actually , I'm thinking of adding a 4125/0 FAN .
