Anybody ever seen scales made from bamboo? Is this a good idea/do-able? Just askin'.

Bamboo makes for great scales. A while ago I made a small box for my niece's odds and ends and let me tell you... easy to work, easy to finish and strong as heck. Some company's offer samples of their flooring if you don't want to go spend a hefty sum for some bamboo plywood.
That would be nice!
Does anyone have a picture of any Bamboo scales they could post up. I would love to see them.
