Badger Culling in UK

I wonder if it will have any effect on the price of brushes.

I thought UK badgers weren't used for brushes...something about their hair not being usable. I may be mistaken as I can't remember where I read that.

Joshuastar is correct. The British badger line is not suited (or used) for making brushes.

The badger hair for brushes comes from China. The UK, Europe and North America (I think) protect the badger so there is no supplies of badger hair in those countries.

North American badgers are a whole different genus: Taxidea rather than Meles. I do not know for certain if anyone has tried their hair for brushes, but it is widely said to be unsuitable.
