A few months back I was honing all four of my straights, and using my off hand thumb to rub the glue residue from the spine which was left over from the electrical tape, when the razor kind of bounced and cut a divet off the side of my thumb. I became a little gun shy after that & used safety razors exclusively for awhile.
Anyway, I've just gone through my straight rotation again, and the good news is, that all of them are shave ready and I have gotten excellent shaves from all four straights! Yay! Back to the closeness and non-irritation of straights! I am a happy man!
