B&B's Artisan Island

Marco

B&B's Man in Italy
My dear friends, as most of you can easily remember, the famous "Desert Island" has already appeared several times here on B&B. This time, however, I'd like to introduce a novelty and make a slight variation of the popular "one choice only". In particular, I'd like to create a B&B Artisan Island or, in other words, a Desert Island where only artisan products are allowed. The reason? It's simple: I want to give luster to original hand-crafted items, entirely made by experienced Masters, often in small runs and always using the finest materials/ingredients available on the market. Also, I think this is a nice and funny way to thank all the great Artisans who daily put all their love, commitment and passion in their authentic, stunning creations. Here is my B&B's Artisan Island:

Brush: Simpson Chubby 1 Super three band

Soap: RazoRock King of the Castle Essential Oil of Lime

Razor: Wacker 6/8 Old Sheffield

Hone: Ardennes Coticule

Strop: Tony Miller 3" Old No.2 Premium Steerhide/Genuine Linen

Aftershave: Captain's Choice Bay Rum

Now it's your turn. What's your B&B's Artisan Island? As always, only one product per category allowed.

Artisan?? Well-

1. Rudy Vey Custom Silvertip
2. Tony Miller 3" Steerhide w/cotton back (is the linen really all that much better??)
3. TOBS Sandalwood (if that counts as artisan, if not..) RazoRock Classic (or XXX if I had enough)
4. Hart Steel 7/8 Square Point
5. Captain's Choice Bay Rum

Disclaimer...T&H 1805, Cella, or any of a number of the TOBS products could just as easily fit into this matrix as well.

This is a truly magnificent Artisan set-up Sir! One day I'd love to get a Hart Steel razor, but in 6/8 blade size. As about Tony Miller I've tried both his cotton and his linen and to me the linen is a better choice, especially when stropping a Coti edge.
