Any one try the AXE Aftershave? I just bought it today The fragrance name is 'Touch'
I just love the smell.
I just love the smell.
Oh man, walking into my school's locker room the air is heavy with particles of axe or some other odorous spray... I've not seen the cologne here in Canada either.
Back before Axe was there an equivalent body spray that permeated the locker rooms of yesteryear?

Axe Aftershave? I'm shocked...I thought boys didn't start shaving until they hit 16?
I have heard of the Axe Aftershaves, and Colognes. They are not sold in the US though.
In the US, Axe is the exclusive domain of young men, and only comes in body spray, body wash, and deodorant.
Axe is typically only used by young men (who don't shower frequently enough) in an attempt to cover up their horrific stench instead of actually taking a shower!! The end result is pure nastiness!!
Axe has become known and markets at the "loser" who can't "get the girls"
Don't waste your money and youth on that horrid ...horrid thing.

His success is due to the Axe not masking BO and his self-confidence.Seriously, the damn stuff isn't that bad; at least not nearly as bad as its commercials and judging from the strictly limited data set at hand, might actually fulfill a little of its promise. I wish it were otherwise.

No. I've no desire to smell like teen spirit.
+1
The issue isn't with Axe itself (although the scents are nothing special; basically overpriced, and tons of better stuff is available), it's more with the lack of basic hygiene practices, and an attempt to overcome that by a serious over application of Body Spray.
Un-showered stinky teen + Over application of Body Spray = a cloud of gross when teenager is encountered.
Guys,
Again I ask if any of you actually live with a teenage boy in the full flower of puberty? Using only my son's cohorts as examples, if anything, they're overgroomed. His cleaning ritual is more extreme than mine and I'm no slouch. He flosses, brushes, shampoos, scrubs, exfoliates, deodorizes and who knows what else. Working from a limited data set here, but my experience does not conform to the descriptions the rest of you provide.
Not encouraging him to use my gear for now. Right now, if dad uses it, then it's not cool. For instance, I took him to Pasteur's and I bought some Penhaligon's and RR and some MWF. He found a limited edition AXE shampoo. There's no talking them out of this phase; they have to grow out of it. Meanwhile, his overpriced grooming products are a hell of a lot cheaper than mine, so it's all good with me.
