Avon Everest

About a year ago I acquired several bottles of Avon aftershave in a ridiculous good deal on ebay...so it took me all this time to try them all and to my surprise found 2 that really like...Island Lime and Everest. I found other Lime aftershave I like but not sure how to describe Everest. Anyone know of modern aftershaves that closest resemble the scent of Everest?

Everest is an odd one. I love me some vintage Avon, but I'm still on the fence about this one. I have no idea what modern day stuff smells like it. It has a grassy top note that fades away leaving a juniper basenote behind. I'd say look for somethign with a good juniper basenote and go from there.

Here are my Everest bottles. Only the 2 on the left are full (including the talc), the rest are empty.

Everest is my favorite vintage avon scent. I myself don't smell Juniper. If it is Juniper, Loccitane Cade has Juniper scent in it's AS balms doesn't it? I own every vintage avon scent made. I will always look for more Everest if/when I run out.

If you like it that much, there are gallons of it on the bay and in every thrift store in the world. I picked up a bulldog pipe full of Oland today for a buck. Good hunting.

I could be wrong. I do not have a nose for notes. I got juniper from a review on another site and it sounded about right. What do you smell?

There may be gallons of Avon out there, but Everest is one of the rarer scents out there. Yes you could buy it off ebay, but I think eBay prices are rediculous for Avon, then shipping on a full bottle is not trivial. In the wild I've found hundreds of Avon bottles, but only 3 that had any Everest in them, and only the 6 above that ever had Everest in them.

Thanks for the reply's.

I can't desribe scents very well at all...I would have never guessed Juniper or grassy...

I have never found any Avon locally in the antique stores only thing was one bottle of Old Spice. I'll look on Ebay in case a deal comes along. I'm partial to Bay Rum or Lime as regular aftershaves but Everest is not bad at all. The bottle of Everest I have was only about a 1/4 full so it went fast...I'll probably look around locally again and hopefully stumble on to some.

I received two bottles containing Everest today. One in a Duracell battery decanter and the other in a bullet decanter. If I had to describe the scent I would have to say it's almost like when you take juniper needles and berries and break them up in your hands. Definitely a potent woodsy smell.

I did end up buying a full bottle of Everest off of E-bay...one of my favorites now in rotation use it about once a week.
