I picked this up in the wild while visiting dad for Father's day. The antique store had quite a few Avon cars of all types. Plus I saw an Avon aftershave Telephone bottle.

It still smells nice. Maybe I'll wash it out and put in some Clubman Pinaud. Place it on my desk and splash all day.

Wash it out, and make a new Hot sauce "Sweeney Shavegood's Bloodletting Barberpole Hot Sauce:

I picked up the same Avon barber pole from a fellow B&B member. It's still about half full of "Wild Country" splash. I use it now and again. Great find.
Saw the same decanter in a antique store in Saugatuck, MI. Was full of Wild Country, but were asking $25. I passed. Beautiful decanter regardless!

Good reference, but the prices in that book, don't really reflect todays going rates.
I know right? Not reasonable, unless maybe it was factory sealed still or something (which it was most definitely not.)
I tried to reason with the owner but he wouldn't budge. Oh well!
Don't worry. Avon is very common and easy to find, there will be others in your path.

The place I bought the barber pole ($3) also had chess pieces. I saw the bishop. I had the bishop as a kid.

I have the latest edition of that book, and I still don't like the prices give in it. But as a reference, it is awesome. I will eventually get the important info into the Wiki.
