Auto Strop, Rolls in antique shops

Strolling through a few antique shops looking for zippos and mugs and such, I saw a gold-ish colored Auto Strop in a black metal box. It looked like it had documentation inside. The store owner had it listed for $35, but she may be talked down.

On a related note, I saw a Rolls at a different shop and it looked to be in good condition.

I'm not really knowledgable about these razors, and my interest is only curiosity in passing. I've just seen them mentioned on here. If anyone would like me to do more sleuthing and post some pictures, I'd be happy to be your hands, eyes, and ears. And your nose, I guess. PM me or post on here.

$35 is way on the high side for an AutoStrop. They can be bought all day for around $15.

There is even less demand for the Rolls than there is for the AutoStrop. In great condition (usable strop, not cracked hone, blade in tip top condition) it's worth a max of $20. They are super common.

My buddy sent me a text yesterday from an antique shop, that was trying to sell a Rolls for $144.

Edit: not saying that is what it should have been, but that some antique stores get these ridiculous notions as to what something should fetch.

I was mistaken, the antique shop was near Hollwood Hills/Studio City. They probably will get that price as some celeb will probably by it as mantle piece or some other type of display. My Bad.
