AS with alum (not Speick)

Hi all -
Pretty simple question: I like the alum in Speick for those days things get a little rough, but hate the smell. Any other AS with alum in it with less of an old-man smell?

Why not just get an alum block? Then you can use it and also use any AS of your choice.

+1 for just getting an alum block. I went to my local Indian grocery store (East West Market in Durham NC, thanks Nid Hog!) and picked one up for the princely sum of $0.99.

I think you'll be pleased with it. It's a good--nay, great--step. I got one last month and love it. It seems to make my shave feel even better because it closes the pores so well. Where there is once stubborn stubble before the block, afterwares is smooth goodness.

I also cut out the "alum block step". I didn't feel or see any improvement over simply using AS or maybe WH then AS. These days, it's pretty much CWR then AS after I'm done. Simple and it works for me.

Smells spicy/floral, but doesn't linger. I like the way it works.
