I bought an Aristocrat on the bay last week ($19.98 seemed like a price I'd regret passing up). I knew from the pictures that there was something up with one of the end caps. It came today and, sure enough, it's missing one of them. The razor has a fair amount of brassing on the handle and near total plate loss on the center bar, plus it's not cased, so I was considering sending it to Krona Kruiser anyway.
Would I be better off to try replacing the missing end cap or removing the other one and having Sam polish the newly exposed metal smooth before he replates it? Functionally the razor is perfect and I'd like to use it, so I'm not concerned about keeping it in original condition.
