Are There Any Good 1 or 2 Blade Disposable Razors?

Just curious.
Have any of you come across any good 1 or 2 blade disposable razors - good, as when used with good soaps or creams?

Today I tried a Wilkinson Sword 2 blade disposable made in Germany one - I didn't like it, shave wasn't smooth and I got lots of nicks.
The other day I tried a 30 year old single blade BIC disposable - nicer shave than the Wilkinson Sword one, but again way too many nicks compared to DE or 2 blade cartridge razors.

I've had no problem with 4 blade Schick Quattro disposables, and my brother says Mach 3 disposables are as good as the cartridges, but I figure some one in the last few decades should have made a half decent 1 or 2 blade disposable razor.

What about some Personna made DE prep razors? Found them here.

Kai Gold-S is very good. Unfortunately I have not found them outside Japan. Single blade, nearly all metal. One tiny bit of plastic in the whole thing. The head doesn't swivel, which is a good thing, AFAIC. You can bend it to change the handle angle, though. Cheap as dirt and shaves like it's angry with them whiskers.

My wife likes the Mach 3 disposables. I use the Gillette Good News with bar soap whenever I'm out of town. I can't vouch for what either is like with a quality shaving soap.

Gillette Guard vote from me.

I never really used any disposable.

Those disposable plastic DE medical prep razors seriously don't work well on your face.

I bought a case of 100 and still have 98 left in the box.

Thanks to you all for your responses.
I haven't tried any of,
Personna made DE prep razors
Kai Gold-S
Bic Twin Razors
Bic Metal
Gillette Sensor Excel
Bic Sensitive single blade

But I'll keep an eye out for them now. Though as many of you have reminded me, Gillette Guard is the alternative i should keep in mind.

Renato

Never used a disposable razor I actually "liked".

If I ever used a disposable it was because it was the only thing around to use when I absolutely needed to shave.

In fact I never liked anything that had "disposable" in the name. :biggrin1:
That word has immediate negative connotation whenever I hear it.

Well, King Gillette built an empire around the disposable razor blade.
