Are Classic Gillette Fatboys/Slim handles made of brass?

Are the Classic Fatboys and slim adjustable Gillettes (1959-68) made of solid brass with a copper/nickel/chrome plating? I want to know because some old vintage razors have some finish rubbing off, underneath appears to be copper, then brass. Will these razors rust? If these are solid brass underneath, then I don't care too much if the plating finish has imperfections. From a functional standpoint, these razors should be fine, hopefully?

The finish will not effect the razor's functionality. If you strip the plating off of the razor, you will be left with brass.
