Day 2, 6.7% complete

Preshave: Hot washcloth
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat (Tallow)
Brush: Yaqi 24mm synthetic cashmere
Razor: GC.84 SB, Al Handle, Astra SP #2
Bowl: Turkish copper
Post-shave: Nivea Balm

Used the same kit as yesterday, but the Astra had smoothed out, as expected. I got another easy near-BBS.

For today’s Vintage April shave I choose my best SE, my repaired Gem Junior (1912 Series). Judging by the Bakelite handle this was probably manufactured in the 1939s. The Badger brush I use most of the time sports an Ever Ready 200 handle. My Gem blade (shave 12) was freshly stropped on my SE Twinplex and gave me a very good shave! A 9.6.

Summary. In the end an excellent shave with a mild yet ultimately effective razor. Another superb brush by my dad!

Evening shave - 4/2/24
Razor: Parker SoloEdge
Blade: Parker Premium Platinum (half) (2)
Soap: BSS #1
Brush: RazoRock Hive 24
Aftershave: Stetson Cooling Moisture
Rating: 9.5/10, DFS+
Very similar shave to previous one, which means that it was nice and comfortable. This razor is a solid performer. I did get a small weeper, but it was gone by the time I was finished.

Still in.

Razor: The Beast (DD Satinedge 13/16") <- GRUME has inspired me to officially nickname all of my razors. Their names have been always running about in my addled brain. This comes from the size of its width. I don't ever expect to get larger than this, and I'm finding my preferred width is 11/16".
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat (Tallow)
Brush: Parker Boar (not shown)

Switching things up for a bit. Gonna use WTP and Arko! sticks.
Have gotten into a habit of not shaving for several days. The Missus even commented on my scruffy face. Need to be more diligent!
