Apollon Open-Comb

I came across a vintage Apollon open-comb razor with case and vintage blades today at a local garage sale here in France. Ultimately, I chose not to purchase the razor because the blades did not follow the current parallel standard for a double-edge blade; rather, the blades sort of tapered towards the ends. Anyone have experience using these razors?
