Apollo Razor

I went to an antique mall yesterday and stumbled across a few razors. A Rolls Razor, a mini DE novelty, and a mint condition DE Apollo set in case. I wanted to know how common are these? I've never heard of them until I searched for them on the Internet and saw a random post here on B&B that showed a picture of them. Below a picture of the exact one I saw, but the one I saw had two razor blade holders with it as well, all which were in what appeared to be the red velvet case.

I've read some spotty reviews saying they originated they are German made and originated the slant razor.

Are these pretty common? How well do they shave? Are they aggressive or more on the mild side? Would this be worth picking up?

Thanks for your help,

past ebay sales will show what some of their values are.

if it had been me, and the price was decent, I'd have snagged it in a heartbeat....pretty much any cased, mint, vintage razor i'd grab though.

if you won't use it, it would not be hard to sell here on the BST

You bet-cha...... Anything that looks unusual in the original case grab.

If you don't like it sell it on BST and pass the goodness around :001_smile

Great score!

Those vintage Apollos can be very lovely pieces of equipment. This one's no exception. :thumbup1:

A beautiful razor! As for the shave think mild along the lines of the Aristocrat/President or Ej89.
Congrats on a beautiful score!:thumbup1:

I love the Apollo razors -- they give great shaves and are such attractive razors. Congratulations!
