AOS Lavendar questions?

I have used this great smelling cream twice. It lathers great and gives me a smooth shave but I have a few concerns:
1. Consistency: The cream seems to be a bit thin compared to my Trumpers Coconut. Is it just my jar or is this the norm? It doesn't seem to effect the shave though. Should I stir the pot?
2. Sting: I like a close shave particularily on the neck area where I got beard growing in several directions. I have accepted a little razor burn as a consequence of this growth. But, I do get a sting from this cream. Is it the vitamin C?
Please let me know your experiences/opinions. Thanks.

1. My AOS Lavender is thin compared to the AOS Sandalwood I purchased that was sitting right next to it. Hasn't impacted the shave though.
2. My skin is ultra sensitive and AOS Lavender hasn't caused any reaction for me.

My experience is based on the Sandalwood fragrance. I doubt there's a ton of difference between the two though.

1. I'm a little unclear what thin means. My Sandalwood seems fine. It lathers like crazy!

2. No stinging at all. I get a great shave from it.

One explanation that the AOS creams are thinner might be that it is also targeted as a brush less cream.

Mine doesn't seem thin at all in the tub. It lathers up so rich fairly quickly. I don't think there is Vitamin C in the shave cream, only in their ASB. This cream works very well for me and is my go-to shave cream.

I have Sandalwood and Lavendar. Both seem to be about the same consistency although the Sandalwood might be a titch drier. It's also newer though and hasn't been dip/twisted as much so maybe that explains it.

I have both sandalwood and lavender, and agree that sandalwood is a touch drier. Haven't really noticed any stinging with either though. One thing I find is that consistency of lather and application makes a difference in how irritated the skin gets, especially under the chin. After applying lather, I use a paintbrush motion with my brush to work it evenly on the face, it seems to provide slicker protection.
