What's new

Anyone tried Penhaligon's Eau de Cologne?

I'm curious about this too. True Colognes are my favorite scent type at the moment. I'm loving GFT EDC and wonder how the two would compare.

I tried it recently and it struck me as a wonderful summer scent but it wasn't terribly long-lived on me. I have a small sample here and I will try to get to it again in the next couple of days and come back to report.

I have not tried Anthology, but have 5 others (Quercus, Opus 1870, Endymion, Racquets, Blenheim Bouquet) and they have all been fantastic. Well worth it imo :thumbup1:

Right now I only have two scents that I use. Burberry's The Beat, which is a wonderful dark, spicy, musk leather-ish thing that I really really like. It's manly, but not.. invasive, as I find most modern, "manly" scents to be.

As well as a lighter more sweet, citrusy Lacoste.

I have been wanting a more... sophisticated scent lately, and Penhaligon's sure sounds like it.

Folks,

I have a bottle of Penhaligon's Eau de Cologne that I have been saving for quite a few years so I was pleased to see that it was available again and I ordered another bottle! It is quite a nice Eau de Cologne and lasts a bit longer (for me) than other versions. If my memory serves me correctly, the price of Penhaligon's colognes has almost doubled in the 20 years I have been buying it but it is still worth the price!

Regards,
David
