Anyone have a forge who likes to experiment?
I was going to do some experimenting with cheapo Timber Rattler. I would like to see if one could re- temper the blade and get it so it will take a edge. It is said to be made form 420 stainless steel. I will be building a shoe string forge latter this year to learn about some knife building. I have a mentor but he no longer has a forge. So it will be a bit before I can experiment.
So I thought I would mention the idea as maybe someone else might enjoy trying this...
