Anyone ever use Minora Blades?

Has anyone used these blades? Where I'm at (Trinidad) good blades are hard to find. Sadly my supply is dry and in-laws don't come till the 21st with goodies. So I found these blades, the are made in Brazil under license from P&G. They were near $1US for 3. Which i also found odd that they were not in a pack of 5. Any feed back appreciated. Thanks

'Minora from Brazil' ... I have heard the Russian Minora blades are mediocre, and the name has historically been associated with some of Gillette's lesser quality blades (from what I understand). If they are all that's available, they are worth a shot. I'd like to know if they're any good. It might help to rename this thread so that it includes Brazil/Brazilian blades, etc.

Cheers

There are Wilkerson and DORCO available but thought I would give these a shot, but wanted to see if anyone else had experience with them. After i use the pack i will post a review of them.

I asked a member from Brazil, and he said that he doesn't think they are sold in Brazil, and they are probably just made there for export only. I only mention this because there are a few different versions of Minora blades floating around out there.

I recall one user having liked the Brazilian Minora blades, saying that they were comparable to Astras or similar. I have never found them to try, but I find the Russian Minoras to be a fine blade and have a suspicion that they are the same specification as one of the Russian 7 o'clock blades.

Is Brasil the only country doing 3-blade packs? Gillette blues and (Gillette) Brazilian are in 3-packs.

I used the blade to day and WOW best blade I have used yet for first shave. I have used Merks, GIL Plats, Gen. Wilks, and Gen Personas. I have some Bolzanos on the way to try. If the minora pack proves consistent, I'm gonna try to get them in bulk to bring back to the states next July.

Schick Super Chromium blades are also sold in 3-blade packs. They are made in China and sold in Peru, and I presume they are available in some other South American countries.

It sounds like they are going to work fairly well or even better. A blade review is a great idea since these blades are not mentioned very often.
